I am an artist and creative educator, born and raised in Toledo, Ohio. I come from a family of makers and fixers. My roots run deep as my children are the 5th generation to live in the same zip code. It’s that connection to where I’m from and the people in my life that inspires my work.

Art has always been a part of my life, but I’ve learned the freedom to create doesn’t come as easy once you are an adult. I studied fine art at Columbus College of Art and Design for two years and then finished my degree in art education at The University of Toledo. The marrying of the two schools provided me with a strong foundation for my art and a degree that allowed me to teach. For eight years, I taught art at a small private pre-k through 8th grade school. As my life became more full with a husband and 5 children, finding time to create became harder.

I eventually left the classroom to focus on my art career. I now work from my home studio allowing me to divide my time between my work and mothering. I’m passionate about creating work that brings life and happiness to a home. My goal is to make beautiful and quality work that can be passed on for generations.
